- The works
- The paintings and drawings in the Gallery’s exhibitions are in the public domain: their authors died more than seventy years ago.
- Reproductions
- Each reproduction comes from a museum, an open-access collection, or an archive, and is shown on the terms its source has set. Where those terms require it, the label of the work names the source, the photographer, and the licence. Where a museum has published its photograph without an open licence, we show it as a faithful reproduction of a work in the public domain. The supplementary material of each exhibition gives the source and licence of every image; the terms of reuse are those of the source, not of the Gallery.
- Photographs
- The photographs in the Gallery’s own exhibitions are by .m1kle and are protected by copyright. They may be reproduced only with permission.
- Permission
- To ask for permission to reproduce a photograph, or to report an image shown in breach of copyright, write to copyright@lacrimaererum.art.
